custom content controls

Hi;

Can anyone point me to a url for the best way to create our own custom
content control? We need to use it in Word, Excel, & PPT.

What I want to do is create my own content control where I render it.
Is there a way to do that? Or is there an existing content control
where I can control what it displays?

At the SharePoint Conference they showed these task items in Office
and my understanding is that those were content controls they created.

Based on my knowledge, the content control should only be a Word 2007
concept. I even did not find ContentControl in Excel 2007 object model. As
to the Word content control, we can only create it, but not customize it.
That is why I was a little confused about the question.

I think what you see in Sharepoint conference may be a new feature of the
new Product which should still be in beta version. As to all of 2007 Office
applications, we still do not support creating a custom content control.
Would you mind letting me know the conference link you are referring to, so
I'd like to have a look and confirm this
