"Custom Dictionary Unavailable"

S

SMang

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Every time I keep using word I get a message saying my custom dictionary is unavailable. This is a new problem encountered after editing the current custom dictionary. I have tried removing it, re-adding it, creating my own custom dictionary, nothing has worked. Anything I have tried to add as a custom dictionary continues to be "unavailable". I have checked that the language was set to the right one.... Any other suggestions?

Set the language to "no language"

That error can mean "The language marked in the text of the document
currently being checked does not match any of the available custom
dictionaries."

Unless you want to maintain multiple custom dictionaries, set yours to "no
language" so it matches all documents regardless of the document language.

Cheers
