Hello, I would like to enter such a word in my custom dictionary :
Klop Blop
So that klop or blop alone will be recognize as an error but "Klop
Blop" will be wellspelled.
Is it possible ?
No. You can't enter "such a word" in the custom dictionary because it's not
a word: it's two words. Word has precise definitions of what constitute a
word and what constitutes a word separator. As you'd expect, a space is a
word separator and can't be part of a single word. A hyphen is not a word
separator, so you could certainly add "Klop-Blop" and have it work. If you
try "Klop Blop", or a string of many more words, it will just add the first
word ("Klop") - not what you want.
Maybe it would be good if Word had a Spelling preference to "Ignore
Auto-Text entries". Then you could add "Klop Blop" as an auto-completion in
Tools/AutoCorrect/AutoText and it would get ignored when you pressed Return
to accept the AutoCompletion. But that doesn't happen now. You could request
that feature via the Help menu/Send Feedback.
