All of a sudden the Custom Dictionary is no longer available for the "Add" function, neither in Word nor in Entourage. The Dictionary is present where it should be under Library/Preferences/MS Office 2008.

Can anyone help?

All of a sudden the Custom Dictionary is no longer available for the
"Add" function, neither in Word nor in Entourage. The Dictionary is
present where it should be under Library/Preferences/MS Office 2008.

It's probably corrupted. Open Word. In the Spelling preferences, select
the Dictionary and click to edit it. It should open straight in Word.
You can make a small edit (anything) and save it. Hopefully, it will
clear the corruption and make it available again (Office-wide),

I have having the same problem, but you suggestion is not working. This just started after the recent upgrade.

You should try creating a new custom dictionary. If it works then, then your
previous one might be corrupted beyond repair.
