Custom Document Information Panel forms: only InfoPath client acce

Hi,

Do clients need the InfoPath client to access custom Document Information
Panel forms? It seems like this is the case...but it is not very logical as
they can access the non-custom DIP form (which are themselves InfoPath forms)
without having the rich client.

As a related question, do clients need the InfoPath client to access task
forms in Outlook 2007?

Thanks,
Jim

Hey Jim,
Yes on both questions,
the DIP functionality only works in the InfoPath thick client, likewise if
you wish to use Outlook forms each user will need the InfoPath client
installed locally as it is the InfoPath rendering engine that is used to
display the forms.

Hope this helps

Cheers,
Ben Walters
