Custom Enterprise outline project codes

I was just wondering if there is anyway that you can make a project code
multi valued like you can with the resource codes.

As far as I know you can't have Project outline codes multi-valued.
Enterprise Project Outline Codes are used when saving a project while
Enterprise Resource Outline Code (20 and Above) are used in the resource
sheet where you can actually multi select more than one choice like Skills,
Languages, Experience.

Thanks Samer for such a quick response. Although, I have another question.
Do you by any chance have any suggestions how I can get around this? I
realize I could just create the field, i.e. line 1 = A, line 2=B, line 3=AB,
but I was wondering if you would have any other suggestions. Just want to
know all of my options.

Thanks again for all the help.

Stacie,

I would be able to help if you can tell me exactly what you need! I can't
see the need of multi selecting an Enterprise Project Outline Code.If you
could give me your situation or a real example I would be able to help you.

I usually use Enterprise Project Outline Codes for Departments (ie. HR,
Finance, IT), Project Status (ie. On Hold, In progress, Cancelled), Project
Size (High, Medium, Low)
I then create views and add these outline codes to the views so as I can
group project s by department, or by Status or by size provided that when I
save a project plan I fill these outline codes.

Sorry, Here is an example. Currently I have a project code called Change
Type with the values CAR, Na, PCR and RFC. This would work fine but there
are times when we need to select more than one option, such as CAR & PCR.

Thanks again for your help.

Stacie,

Sorry to say that the only way I know that you can achieve this is by having
7 values under Change Type (CAR, NA, PCR, RFC, CAR and PCR, CAR and RFC, RFC
and PCR). This way when you want to filter a view you can chose one of these
7.

As I said Project Enterprise Outline Codes functionality differ than
Enterprise Resource Outline Code. hence, different uses.

Sorry Stacie but this is all I know. If someone else has a solution for this
I really would like to know it :)
