Outlook has come a long way from it's less than great beginnings, but it
still has several big shortcomings, from my point of view. This custom fax
cover sheet issue is one of them. Why should I have to buy and deal with
Winfax to get that?
The other shortcoming that bugs me is that you can't copy a contact and
insert it into any document. You can start a letter that way, which is
fine
if you want a generic letter, but I want it everyday on the miriad of
templates I have created and use. Since you appear to be one of the powers
that be with Outlook, please put these requests on your list. Outlook
should
continue to become a first class PIM. At present it is not bad, but not
what
is could and should be.

No. Most of us just set it up so we can use Word's Insert Address
Function
to enter the Contact information we want.
You can try to create a merge document you can save for reuse if you
want.
Outlook really isn't designed for CRM functions.

When I create a cover page in Word, can I enter the field codes forthe
"to,"
"subject"and "messages." Will the custom cover sheet show up as one of
the
choices of cover sheets?
:
You can't.
Use Word.
