Custom Field in Gantt and Resource Usage

Hello,

I created a custom field for a column in my Project Gantt chart view. I
also want this information (column and custom field) to appear in my Resource
Usage view.

I customized Text 1 in the Gantt view, but when I add Text 1 to the Resource
Usage view, the customization isn't there.

Is there a way to customize a field so that it applies globally within the
project and can appear in multiple views of a project?
