custom field is not being shown in Portfolio Analyser View

In the Portfolio Analyser View i am able to see cost projectwise,
resourcewise and time wise.But when i create a custom field say region
under whom projects are coming, and when i upgrade the cube, i am
unable to see the custom field "region" in the portfolio analyser
view. Why is that so... The same field is being seen in Project WSS
view.

In the future, please tell us what version of Project Server you are using.
2002, 2003, or 2007? From your question, I will presume you are using
Project Server 2003. To see your field in the Portfolio Analyzer views, you
must create it using a custom enterprise Outline Code field. Both custom
enterprise Project and Resource outline codes are added automatically added
as an available Dimension in Portfolio Analyzer views. Hope this helps.
