Custom Field

Hello,
I would like to add a column showing results of custom
calculations such as:

([Real Work]-[Planned Work])* Planned Duration / Work

I tried to create a custom field with a formula referring
to existing fields but no calculation is being done. The
new field only contains zero values.

Is it possible to calculate such custom information using
Ms Project? I need this information to present it in a
report.

Hi Isabelle,

Definitely possible, but it would be handy if you used the MS project
vocabulary (Actual Work, Remaining Work, Work, Duration...)

thanks for your reply. I`m sorry, I use the French version
of Ms Project and I tried my own translation!
Could you provide more information on how I could do that?
I couldn`t find sufficient information online.

Hi again,

Are you in a version 2000 or later? Because it is not possible in 98!
In 2000 or later look for customized fields
Tools, customize, fields, Formula, look up the help

May I also recommend the newsgroup
