You can copy and paste link the contents of a custom field to Excel for
example. However, be aware that any file name changes, moving of files or
even over-writing of files can cause file corruptions once you have links
like this (DDE links) between files.
Not sure this is what I was looking for and maybe I was not clear with my
question. I have a task in project 1 that is using some custom fields for
information. I link that task to a milestone in project 2 that also has that
defined field but the values do get displayed in the greyed out line. Any
way I can transport that info across without a cut and past? I am using MS
Project 2007 STANDRD.
