Custom Fields being cleared out on Web Access

I have a Custom Field for Enterprise Task Text1 that I
have published for use in Web Access. It is used to track
an Attendance Code against tasks (I.E. OT vs Regular
Hours).

The problem I am experiencing is that it appears to be
cleared out when the project manager republishes the
project. I am not sure if it is happening when assignments
are republished or if it is when the entire plan is
republished.

I am guessing that this is happening by design but I am
not sure how to work around it. I need the code that the
user selected for that task to stay there.

Tom:

Enterprise task fields do not have discreet values at the assignment level.
You need to use a standard task field to accomplish this. Of course you'll
need to devise a plan for managing these, such as standard project templates
for creating all new projects.
