Custom Fields don't show data

Shane

When I create a new assignment view and include enterprise custom fields in
it, when I open up that view in the "View resource assignments" screen, the
columns are there with the correct column name. However, no data shows. In
each record the data is empty. The standard fields have data, but not the
custom fields. Am I missing a setting?
Thx,
Shane

Your project managers will need to add these custom fields as Published
fields in each enterprise project they manage using the following steps:

1. Open an enterprise project
2. Click Tools - Customize - Published Fields
3. Add the new custom fields to the list on the right
4. Click OK
5. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments and then click OK
6. Repeat steps #1-5 for each enterprise project

Doing so will "push" the custom field values from each project to your
Assignment views In addition, I would recommend that you add these custom
fields as Published fields in each enterprise project template you have
created, otherwise, your PM's will have to repeat the above steps for every
new project they create. Hope this helps.

Dale - that did help. Thank you. I was aware of these steps, but thought they
were only used to add fields to a persons "View my tasks". How is this done?
That is, adding fields to this view so that when people status, they can see
those fields in the view.

If you want your team members to see the custom fields on their View My
Tasks page, your Project Server administrator will need to modify the
Timesheet view to include those fields (click Admin - Manage Views in PWA to
do this). Hope this helps.
