Custom Fields in Org Charts

Henry

I would like to add fields to all the shapes in an existing Organizational Chart. Currently, each shape has a Name and Title field. I would like to add Start Date, Salary, Old Department and New Department fields. I understand how to control the display of fields in different positions inside the shape, but how do I add the fields themselves? I see references in Help, but not having any luck.

Thanks

Henry

You may want to use the Tools > Custom Property Sets feature for this if you
have Visio 2003.

Hi Mark

I tried this, but was told that I can't modify the stencil which contains the org. chart shapes. That seems to limit any possibility of adding the fields which can be displayed in org. chart shapes, so I don't get it

Go to File > Shapes > Show Document Stencil to make your changes there.
These are the real Org Chart shapes used in your drawing. Does that help?
