Custom Fields populated by Lookups

Hello,

Is there any way to populate the Value List of a customer field with the
results of a lookup/query?

For instance, if I have a project custom code that is, say "Technical
Architect", it could populate the drop-down box with "Resources".

Just curious.

That is what Custom Enterprise fields are for that have a value list
associated with them. You then use them as Enterprise Project fields and
link them. They can be made to be mandatory so any new project record
requires a value to be selected.
