Custom Fields wihtout Lookup Tables in Data Analysis

I have defined custom fields for Project Properties as enterprise custom
fields without look-up tables. Using PWA Project Owners will enter custom
projet information into these fields, so there are NO lookup tables
associated with these fields. I can not add these custom fields as a
dimension of a cube to view in Data Analysis.

How do I add these custom fields without lookup tables to the OLAP cube
build to view them in the Data analysis views?

Hi Bubba/Volkmar,
You can't. And in order to print off a Gantt view, you'll need some 3rd
party software.

This is not possible if they are just text fields - they need a look up
table. If you are entering cost or numeric information then these can appear
as measures...

Thanks Ben, is it possible to view this custom user entered data peforming
SQL queries against the reporting database?

Hi Bubba,

By utilising the Project Server Reporting Database you are able to retrieve
the data for custom fields easily. Check out the different views that are
already part of the Reporting database, i am sure you will be able to write a
report fairly quickly.
