Custom for event recurring stops responding

Whenever I enter a task (or attempt to change an existing task) with a
custom, ³Occurs:² Entourage stops responding and I have to restart.

I have tried:

Checking for updates (I had none to do).
Rebuilding the database.
Repairing disk permissions.

And nothing has fixed it so far...

Any suggestions?

What version of Entourage are you using? Is it fully patched?
