Custom Form - insert file ability

I am creating a custom form and need to allow my users to
insert an office file or pdf into a certain field. I am
using text boxes but cannot find the control I need to
allow the Insert Menu options to become available.
Should I be using a different control to allow file
inserting? All help is appreciated. Thank you!!

You must have the message control on the form (the message body).

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I needed to use
the notes field so I have more flexibility in what I can
do in that field. Thank you for your resonse!
