Custom Form is not viewing when opened on another PC

I have created a custom phone message based on the normal message. Works fine
on my PC but just opens as normal message on others. I have click the send
form definition and saved as file (template). Why cant I see my custom fields
on another PC apart from mine?

Did you click the Edit Read Page button and create a separate read layout for your form?

Where is the form published? What version of Outlook?

Outlook 2003. I have just gone 'save as' outlook template and saved to our
server.

We had an old 97 version form which we have been using for years but last
week after last MS update came up with error about 'parameters values not
valid' so I though it about time to create a new one.

Try marking the recipient's address for rich-text. It shouldn't be necessary, but let's see if it fixes the problem.

No different. Just opens a normal message which the form is based on.

What's the build number in the Help | About Microsoft Outlook screen on the sender's and recipient's machines? Can other people create messages with the form OK? Do all recipients have the same problem?

No different. Just opens a normal message which the form is based on.

Build 2600 on all. Other people can use the form but it is just a normal
email message - no additional fields as setup.

I created a form on another PC and it works fine on all others so just
mine????? The only difference is mine is a notebook. Who knows? I will just
use another PC for creating them. Thanks for your suggestions Sue.

That's still not clear: Do "other people" see a normal email message when the run the form? When they receive a message created with the form?

Still having problems but figured out when at least! As soon as I create a
new field in the field chooser and save the form it no longer works (just
normal email message). If I select existing fields it's fine. If I setup
those new fields on other PC it still doesn't work.

Sorry - yes other people just see normal email message when they run the form
and also when they open the message created with the form. Obviousely they
can only see those fields that are in normal email message, name, subject and
message, other fields are removed.

I though I could get around this by inserting a new label and textbox from
the toolbox, however I need to link the textbox to a field (Properties/Value)
before it will allow me to enter a value! AHHHH when I do this and save it
has the same problem again that it only opens the default email message.

Yes template, .oft file. When they open the template (new message) it dosn't
show the new fields. What I ended up doing to get around this was use
existing fields from the field chooser that we would never use (ie billing
information) and then rename them. Not ideal but it works as they are
existing fields in Outlook.

Did the affected users recently install Office 2003 Service Pack 2? (There is no build 2600 for Outlook.) If so, then this is a known effect of a major change in how Outlook handles custom properties, detailed in the KB article at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=907985. Bottom line is that to open an .oft template that has custom properties, the user will need to use the Tools | Forms | Choose Form command.
