Dear All,
I created a custom Contact form that I published to a public contact folder in Outlook. It's been working without a hitch for months. Suddenly, last week, when users attempt to open a contact from this public folder, the following message appears:
"The custom form could not be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form instead. The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator."
I tried republishing the custom form (which I had saved as a .OFT file) but that didn’t help. I located some knowledge base articles that suggest a few possible solutions (e.g., install Office XP Service Pack 2, clear form cache), but, given that all the users of Outlook on our network are having the same problem, and getting the same error message, measures that deal with this locally don't seem to be the right path. It seems like something must have happened on the Exchange Server, where the public folder that I referred to above. This is where I originally published the form so it is not a "local" issue.
Does anyone have experience with this issue or have some ideas about how to correct it or where to go for help.
Thanks very much,
Bob Voss
