I created a custom Contact form that I published to a public contac
folder in Outlook. It's been working without a hitch for months
Suddenly, last week, when users attempt to open a contact from thi
public folder, the following message appears:
"The custom form could not be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook for
instead. The form required to view this message cannot be displayed
Contact your administrator."
I tried republishing the custom form (which I had saved as a .OFT file
but that didn’t help. I located some knowledge base articles tha
suggest a few possible solutions (e.g., install Office XP Service Pac
2, clear form cache), but, given that all the users of Outlook on ou
network are having the same problem, and getting the same erro
message, measures that deal with this locally don't seem to be th
right path. It seems like something must have happened on the Exchang
Server, where the public folder that I referred to above. This is wher
I originally published the form so it is not a "local" issue.
Does anyone have experience with this issue or have some ideas abou
how to correct it or where to go for help.
Thanks very much,
Bob Voss
