Custom Form Reading Pane

R

Rob Allen

I've created a custom form and it's working very well.
Only thing is that in the preview pane / reading pane, there's no info from
the form...it's just got a blank looking message with my old signature on
there from when I first created it
Is there any way of changing how the form looks in the reading pane ??
thanks
Rob

This is normal behavior. Custom forms without code behind them display the message body (that's where your signature is) in the reading pane. Custom forms with code display a warning that the item needs to be opened.

Can you share hints about what code needs added to have the reading pane
display a msg that user needs to open item?

Having any code at all in the item will result in the warning appearing in the reading pane.
