hello,
i'm using 3rd party add-in with Outlook 2003. we are using Legato
EmailXtender (EX) in Exchange Server 2003. All clients are Outlook 2003. EX
is used for archiving old messages from exchange server to archive server.
archived messages are replaced with shortcut in exchange mailbox. then
special Outlook add-in is used for accessing those shortcutted messages from
archive.
there is custom form published to organization's form library. it replaces
Outlook's ordinary envelope icon with new icon (envelope with arrow) when
messages are archived. everything is working fine when Outlook is in direct
mode. but when outlook 2003 is in cached mode there are incorrect icons
displayed. i checked that custom form is retrieved from organization's
library. it exists in outlook's form cache. and this custom form work
correctly but form's icon is not displayed. this is confusing for end users.
i have tried things described in KB article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;839804. now
difference. Outlook is now with SP2 (11.6568.6568). so cached mode issues
described in this article should be fixed.
btw, when manually copying this custom form from organization's library to
personal library then everything is correct. but we need those forms to be
accessed from organization's library.
does anyone have any ideas what to try next?
regards,
kaido
