Custom Forms Issue & Outlook 2003

We are seeing issues with the Field Chooser not displaying the user-defined
fields in our custom forms, thus causing issues for us in creating Outlook
Views and applying filters when using offline synchronization. What I found
in testing was the following:

Setup:
I created a custom form with no controls or code and only custom fields. I
tried to create as many fields as I could always maxing them out to the 32
character name limit. Doing this I was able to recreate some of this
problem.

Issues:

- When trying to add fields to a view, when bringing up the Field Chooser
dialog box and selecting the Custom Form, none of the custom fields are
displayed.
- Same issue when trying to set a filter using the custom fields.

Results:

- When posting a form to the Public Folder, once the size of the total
number of characters in the names of all the custom fields exceeded 5,596
characters the above issues started to appear. Anything under that number
and the symtoms did not show up.

- If the Public Folder was being Synchronized for offline use through the PF
Favorites, then when the total number of characters in the names of all the
custom fields exceeded 3,963 characters the above issues started to appear.

I believe that other the number of controls on the form and amount of code
could also contribute, but could not find a pattern. I did notice that with
our fully defined forms with code and controls the limits were different,
and not the same between different forms which is why I believe that there
are other factors that contribute.

Has anyone experienced this issue, have any ideas on how to resolve. Also
this issue does not occur in Outlook XP or 2000 with the same forms.

Thanks!
Jim
