Custom Help Text Disappears from Task Pane when adding content to

N

I have an InfoPath form that contains predominantly all Rich Text Fields
(RTF) and am trying to make use of the Custom Help feature. Although the
Help Text does appear when I click in a RTF and will stay visible as long as
only enter straight text for about 3 lines of plain text but will instantly
disappear whenever I add carriage returns, cut/paste, add/change/delete a URL
or do an character formatting like changing fonts to bold, change a color
pick a different font, etc. The only way to "maybe" get it back is to click
UNDO, UNDO, UNDO, until the Help Text reappears. Are we forced to give up
using RTF if we plan to utilize a Custom Help Feature. Please tell me there
is a simple solution that doesn't require some long drawn out work around
mired deep in writing script for each and every RTF in this InfoPath form.
Do I need to convert all my RTF to text fields to get around this problem?
I'm pulling my hair out over this and now I'm out of time looking for
something this cornball... If there isn't a simple answer but you do have a
similar example I could go on, it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. I hope the
next version of InfoPath accounts for these things that should be so simple
to do... ARGH!!! Thanks
