Custom Hover Buttons in FP 2003 Removed?

I just got FP 2003 and am trying to insert what in 2002
was a custom hover button under Web Components. I want to
use my own images. Now all they have is "Interactive
Buttons" that do not allow you to insert your own images.

Am I missing something or did they remove that
functionality??? If so that sucks - I use that feature
all the time.

Hover buttons are Java, not javascript and some IE browsers won't show them
.... so it is best not to use hover buttons at all any more. Some of your
viewers may not 'see' hover buttons so you should change any previous pages
that have used them.

it's still in fp03 but as service to the net I'm not telling you where;) If
you do use them make sure you have text links also then your site will be
accessible to everyone.

So they just removed that feature? What is the
alternative if you want custom rollovers? I don't like to
be limited to using caned designs.

Thanks

The Hover Button applet is still available in FP2003, however you have to re-add it to the menus
under View | Toolbars | Customize. You also can switch to code view and copy an existing one to
another location, and then modify it.

Basically it would be better to use the new Interactive buttons, which are JavaScript based, and you
can use your own images with these.

You are not limited to the existing Interactive Buttons
- you can create / use you own images

spoil sport Tom <grin>

.... service to the net .... one less site with hover buttons!
note again ... if your using any menus that are not text based, make sure it
is duplicated in a text based menu elsewhere on the page so that the site is
accessible to everyone.
