Custom List Auto Fill Question

I have a custom list stored in Auto Fill. Rather than click and drag auto
fill through all the colums in the list, is there any way I can make list
populate without having to drag my cursor through all the columns?

You must let Excel know in some way what you want and how far to extend when
you enter the first item of a list into a cell.

Dragging is one way to fill across or down.

Another is....................

Enter the letter "a" in A1

Type A1:A26 or A1:Z1 in NameBox and hit Enter

Edit>Fill>AutoFill

Thank you for your help.. I now know that i must name the range.. I did that
using the
name box, but now I cant figure out how to use auto fill to fill the range
with a custom list i set up.. This is important because range is too long to
drag thru.

Assuming your Custom List is 12000 items.

Type the first item of your Custom List in A1

In namebox type A1:A12000 and hit ENTER key which highlights A1:A12000

Edit>Fill>Autofill
