Custom list numbering question

I have what I hope is a relatively simple question: I'm using Word XP
and I want to have the first level of the list leave a line before the
actual number is shown. I find that the numbering looks good, except
that it's all one large body. It would be more readable if there was a
blank line before each new occurrence of a Level 1 entry.

Any suggestions?

Add some Spacing Before to the style to which you are applying the Level 1
numbering.
