Custom Menu Bar Problem

I have created a backend access database that holds only
reports and a few forms, which I open from a frontend
database. The backend database has a custom menu bar,
which I want displayed in place of the standard Access
menu bar (File, Edit, etc).

When I open the backend database manually, it only shows
my custom menu bar, which is how I want it to work.
However, when I open it using VBA automation from the
frontend database, both the Access menu bar and my custom
menu bar are displayed. I have set the reports and forms
menu bar setting to my custom menu bar. What could be
causing this to occur?

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
