Hi,

I was trying to find and define a custom outline codes in MS Project 2007,
but could not.

Please advise how to find and define them.

Thanks

Hello theradioamateur,

The concept of Outline Code doesn't exist any more in PS 2007. It is
replaced by "Text" field working withe a Lookup table.
In PWA, go to Server Settings / Enterprise Custom field Definition / New
Field... there, click the Help button "?"

Hope this helps,

Thanks, Gerard.

I see now. However - that text field does not seem to replace the hierachy.

And one more - I did not migrate to 2007 yet, still using 2003, where I use
the outline codes.

Is it possible to build a WBS-like disgram based on the outline codes, as
opposed to WBS. [for some reasons i have to keep two diferent hierachies in
the project for the same set of tasks]

Thanks again

Thanks Gerard,

I see now.

I still use 2003, and use outline codes as an "alternative" WBS, since I
have to maintain 2 hierachies for the same tasks. Is there a way to build a
hierachical picture based on outline codes, (WBS - like) usingexport to VISIO
?

Thanks
