Custom propert to text box

What I would like to accomplish is to programically add custom proporties to
a shape that are entered in txt boxes.
For example I have a server shape, with a txt box(s) that contain
ID _______
IPAdd__________
you get the idea.
Anyway I am looking to take the data entered into these txt boxes and add
them to custom proporties of the shape.
this will allow the user to see the shape info on the drawing without having
to go thru the view custom properties options.

of course you can read the custom properties and format/insert a new text
field. There are examples in the visio sdk for custom properties
manipulation. another scenario is to use the menu to insert a field into the
shape using the menu insert => field operation and follow the prompts for
custom properties.
