I am working in Visio 2003 and have a basic diagram with existing custom
properties. I want to know how to make the values of the custom
properties
visible on my drawing. Some values are visible and some are not. I'm not
sure how to select or deselect elements to display.
Can you give some more details on what you mean by visible? You can open a
dialog that will display the custom properties of a shape and you can also
add the custom properties to the text of a shape. So are you seeing this as
part of the shape or in a seperate dialog?
Within the Custom Property Dialog, you can make certain custom properties
invsibile (hidden). Right click the custom property and choose Define custom
property. There will be a hidden check box, you can also do this through the
shapesheet.
If it is within the shapes text, you will have to select the text and look
at Insert Field to see what is being used. Each Visio shape can have only
one text block, but a group shape can contain several shapes and thus text
blocks can appear in various places in the shape.
