Custom PWA fields show no data in PWA

Hi,

My company has recently started to use Team Foundation Server and it is
being used to track softwer development progress. The project related
information is transferred to Project Pro and Project server 2007.

There are several custom fields provided by Team system including work
item ID which uniquely identifies the scenario, bug or task. However when I
try to view these fields in PWA the box is empty. The custom field heading is
corect. I have exported the custom fields from Project to Project server but
this has not helped. Can anyone help with this?

Hi Gary,

Not sure I understand. These are text fields and dont have a rolldown
value.

If these are task-level fields, you may need to set the rolldown value.

Hi Stephen,

The TFS -> project server was already setup and configured when this was
passed over to me. I havent thought about investigating this connection (yet).

The best way for me to explain now it works for me (as I wasnt involved
in the initial install) is to tell you what I do.

I open up the project in project professional and project displays with
all the fields including the custom fields. I have the Team toolbar
installed. I can make changes and save/publish back to the project server. If
my project professional client pulls in the custom fields from Project
server, I'm assuming that they are available for PWA to access. That is,
unless I'm not understanding the data flow correctly. :-S
