Custom report needed

Can you print a one line summary of a project that
reflects milestones and other critical dates (similar to
Visio) from Project? Visio makes a nice report like I am
talking but you have to redo it everytime. If there was
something like this in Project it would update
automatically. Thanks for the help.

Hi Ben,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I don't know Visio, but you could try this. First go to the first task
and press Insert to give a blank row at the top of the Task sheet and give
the task the name of the project. Now select all the tasks beneath it and
Indent them once to make the first task a project summary task. Now filter
for milestones, select them all, and then Project/Task Information/General
tab and check Roll up Gantt bar to summary/OK. Now click the minus sign
beside the new project summary task. You should have a one line Gantt bar
with all the milestones showing.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on:)
