Custom report

Hi, I would like to know if anyone could share with me a sample of a custom
report that they built showing milestones on a per project basis. What I'm
curious about in particular is formating in a print view. We were given a
report, but the output is really basic and somewhat hard to read. Looks like
a PDF of Excel output. Not totally bad, but was wondering what other type of
options may be out there for formatting. I would hate to think that custom
reporting would be this limiting.

If possible, you could email me at (e-mail address removed).

Thanks!

Hi l8rdays,

are you talking about MS Project reports, or project server reports which
have been developed of the Reporting Database of project Server?
Thanks

Hi L8rdays,

we have build a big suite of project and program and resource reports. The
nice thing about building these reports yourself is that the layout can be
(more or less) determinend by yourself. Can youo be a little bit more
specific in what exactly you are looking for?
thanks

We requested a simple report that is:
All master Projects grouped by Project Division, Project Area.
Then within each Master Project show indented the corresponding subprojects
based on certain criteria.

I was pretty vague with design, and was detailed about output. And I got
what I asked for.... A boring designed output. The output looks very
basic, similar to an old style block formated Excel spreadsheet in pdf
formatting. The indention for the subprojects is barely there, and hard to
distinguish. One of our custom fields displays a circle Icon and he gave us
an Oval Icon. And I didn't ask for it, but wish I had, the ability to filter
out data I don't want to print or view.

So my question, is Visual source really this limited in it's ability for
output? Was I expecting too much for a cleaner more sleeker design?

I don't have the budget at this time to pay to have the reports re-done, but
I was hoping for a couple example of screen shots of what is possible.

Thanks,

Hi Aviva,

thanks for the email. That was what I was wanting to know. Is the tool
flexible and configurable.

All -
I would love to still see what output is possible, not looking for free
code, just a screen shot of a report showing the output.

Thanks,
