Custom Ribbons

I know there's been huge discussion about Ribbon menus.

But is there now a way to customize these, or add a personal ribbon?



I would really like to make my favorite commands more accesable.

I personally hate the ribbons, mostly because they group and organize
commands only one way, and I can't reorganize them to group commands i use
together, or to move frequent commands to the top. And i cant keept them
open (like a pull-off menu)

For example when laying out or formating images in PPT, I may use the align,
move to front, distribute vertically kinds of command many times in a row.
the ribbon makes me have to reopen menus each time.

Or commands like set transparent color, set transparency amount, paste
values, etc that are buried deep.

oh well, thats all been over a thousnad times, I'll stop whining now.

You can put ALL your frequently-used commands in the QAT. As has been posted
countless times in response to posts like yours...

You can customize the QAT, which helps to some extent, and if you don't mind
plumbing the mysteries of XML, you can create your own custom ribbon tabs,
groups and buttons.

Tearoff toolbars, unfortunately, are gone. Form triumphs over function, alas.
