Sorry about starting a new thread with this if it has been addressed
previously, and I always try and see if someone has addressed an issue
previously and acknowledge their work, but I can't seem to find anything.
About a year or so ago, some nice folks on this board gave me a little
syntax on how to screen Sender aliases by using the actual text strings used
in Outlook's display. The syntax was this:
"From: "<exact text string>""
For this most part, this works very well, but what I can't figure out is how
there are a number of messages that simply get around this Rule. I've tried
testing with extra spaces, hidden characters, etc., but I'll still get
messages from "Antique Watches", "Shawn C.", "The Jupiter Jack", etc. (BTW,
my "Jupiter Jack" rule works - LOL)
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Right now, I'm running at
a 25% failure rate, so there must be a lot of spammers out there familiar
with this issue in Outlook and how to get around it. How about some love
from the GOOD Guys?
Thanks,
Greg
