Custom search folder: emails sent that haven't been replied to

I always have the problem of when I send an email to someone asking for
something, I often forget about it until several days later, when I finally
realize the person never replied.

It'd be nice to create a custom search folder to list out all emails I've
sent that have yet to be replied to. This must be possible because Outlook
can arrange conversations, so it knows which emails are responses to which.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Place a reminder/flag/category on the item and use that as a Search Folder
condition.

This solution may be more than what you are looking for but there is a
product called VisNetic MailFlow that allows you to set reminders on
messages, reopening them on specific dates. A complete history is
retained for all email contacts, accessible with a single click.
