Custom shape doesnt allow input

,I just built my first stencil with a shape based on the online helps
directions. Its real simple, just a couple of rectangles. Did the save,
opened a new basic design, clicked on the shapes icon, favorites, found it
and dragged it onto my diagram. Very slick, but one slight problem: I
double click on a rectangle to add content, and nothing happens. Its as if
it turned read-only, or into an image, whatever, but multiple tries including
closes and re-trying show the same issue.
What did I do wrong so that my custom shape wont allow me to enter any text
into it?

Edit the master shape in the stencil :
menu Format -> Behavior -> Double Click and select Edit text
