Custom TaskPane in Word 2003

Hi,

I would like to build my own taskpane for word 2003

Is it possible ? If yes, what is the best way ?

No. Unfortunately. Closest you can get is to use the
SmartDocuments functionality. In brief, this uses XML tags
inserted into a Word document together with an Addin built
on SmartTags technology to display IP-location specific
information, including ActiveX controls, in a task pane.
Code can also be linked to these controls to take
appropriate actions.

This is a big hole. Task panes are very cool and that fact we can't extend
them or create our own is just another example of "only Microsoft can do
it".
