Custom toolbar problem

I'm using Outlook 2000 under terminal services.
when i customise my toolbars with my own buttons that use macros i find
that when i exit then open outlook again its reset itself to default
settings.

I tried the whole reseting of the outcmd.dat file but that doesn't
help, it keeps reseting back to default after i exit.

Is there another way to fix this?, muchly appreciated for any help.

Under TS the settings and changes are kept on the server and you probably
don't have write access to the underlying files such as outcmd.dat. Your
changes will persist only until that Outlook session is terminated. To make
such changes permanent the changes would have to be made at the server level
by an admin who has permissions to make changes on the server.

Well it just so happens that i have admin access, and i totally
undestand what you are saying, but under TS outlook should run normally
regardless of access permissions to certain files. Here's what's
happening: I log in to a Terminal session, all my customisations are
fine, if i log out then back in (i.e end the current session and start
a new one) its still all good the customisations are still there. The
problem is when i exit Outlook and re open it again under the same
terminal session all the customisations are reset. This means if
outlook has to be closed my toolbars disappear.

Its bugging me because i don't want to exit a session just to reset the
toolbars back to normal.

Any suggestions

Copy the local copy of outcmd.dat into the server location for that file.

Ok, um i don't want to seem mean but i'm using TS meaning that i'm
using Outlook on the Terminal Server, this means there is no local copy
of the Outcmd.dat file stored on my local computer, just the one stored
in my profile under documents and settings (the default location) on
the server.

However, i tested it some more and found that when i copied the same
out.cmd file to a differnent users profile the changes stuck when i
exited then entered again. Now with this in mind would you say its
still a problem with the Outcmd.dat file or could there be another
posibility

I have no idea why your setup is doing things differently than other users.
At that point it seems not to be an Outlook problem but a terminal server
setup problem. You might get more knowledgeable answers in a group that has
more TS experts in it.
