custom toolbars in X

B

Barbara

Hi All,

I can't seem to get Word or Excel X to let me customize my toolbars
permanently (i.e., so they show up the same way every time I open Word
or Excel). In particular, the Acrobat 6 toolbar won't quit popping
up. I've tried View -> Toolbars -> Customize -> delete acrobat
toolbar, AND I've tried Tools -> Customize -> delete acrobat toolbar.
No luck. The stupid thing keeps popping up when I reopen Word or
Excel. I can't even get it to move over into a less conspicuous
location!

Does anyone know how to change this? Any help or advice would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Barbara

Hi

Here's a thread that involved 27 postings regarding Adobe Acrobat's
misbehavior.

Every time you launch Adobe Acrobat it checks to see whether its templates
are in Office startup folders. If Acrobat doesn't find them, it puts them
there regardless of the setting you choose it seems.
