Word 2003 (Pro) has stopped saving custom toolbars and toolbar locations.
Every time I start it, I have to turn off the same toolbars and move them
around to where I want them.
The fixes that I have found, related to the Adobe 7.0 toolbar, don't work.
For one thing, I have only ever had the free Reader and not full-blown
Acrobat, so I've never had the toolbar installed in the first place. I had
not made any changes to the software that I'm aware of, other than MS
updates, before the problem started. Updating Adobe Reader itself did not
resolve the problem. Holding down shift then going to "save all" doesn't
seem to have any effect, either--although it saves normal.dot, the toolbars
are still all over the place when I open Word again.
Am I looking in the wrong place for the solution? All the answers I have
found in searching the internet seem to be related to the Adobe Acrobat
toolbar.
