Custom View Filter

I'm seeking assistance on how to filter out a number Maintenance Projects on
a custom view that we created for Project Center. We are using Project Server
2007 and I've done the following steps, but these have only made the custom
view present a message stating that either I don't have access to the view,
or someone deleted the projects (which is not the case), or someone is
publishing projects.

Steps I'm executing:
1) Go to Manage Views
2) Select the custom view
3) Select Filter
4) Under filter, I select Project Type
5) I've used both equals or begins with and inserted Maintenance Project and
/ or Maintenance
6) Clicked Save
7) Once I do the steps above I go to Project Center and get the message
stated above.
8) If I remove the filter, the view then shows up as it was before...

What am I doing wrong?

I believe you need to specify the Filter using the following criteria:

Project Type Equals 4

There's more information about these enumerated fields in the SDK for
Project Server 2007. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

Upon doing the suggestion below, I still get this error message...

Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view. It is
most likely that you either don't have permissions to view the project,
another user has deleted this project(s) before you were able to view it or
that another user is in the process of publishing the project.

When I remove the filter all together, the view comes back. I'll look at the
SDK, but for some reason I can't seem to filter within this view. Could it be
due to another user creating the view and I'm trying to edit the view as the
Admin? I can add rows to the view regardless, I just can't filter anything
out.

Thanks for your help!

It just dawned on me: have you included the Project Type field in the View?
If not, you MUST include that field to be able to filter on it. I have
created a custom Project Center view that includes both the field and the
filter I suggested, and the View works just fine for me. Let us know.

Dale,

Actually yes, I have the Project Type column as part of my view. That was
initially why I was trying to filter off of 'Maintenance Project'.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for all of your help.

No, I'm fresh out of ideas. If I can create it on my system and it works,
how can I figure out why it won't work on your system? Sorry I can't be of
more help.
