Custom View not allowing anyone to use

When we first brought up Project Server 2007 I created a custom view for
Project in PWA. companytaskview When a user clicked on a project in PWA
for more detail and it showed the tasks assocatiated with the project in PWA,
they could use this view that showed several of our custom fields. It was
working as of yesterday. Today, I went in to make a change per a request and
now it says I don't have access. I am the administrator and I doubled
checked it is available (checked for access) for my group.

Not sure where to begin trouble shooting this one. Any hints would be
helpful. I also checked and couldn't find anything in a checked out state
either.

Thoughts?

Thanks and happy holidays!

Even weirder....

My users can see / use the view just fine. It's only me and the other
designated Admins that can't. And I trippled checked to make sure we have
everything checked. HELP!!! It's my current Christmas wish. :)

Ok a little more...

I logged on as another user. I can see the Company Task Viewfor some of the
projects but not all.

As me (Adminstrator - full rights) I can't see the Company Task View. I
thought maybe it was a I'm not a project owner issue.

But....

As the other user, if I have him try and click on a project in Project
Center to display the tasks that he doesn't own, he can see Company Task View
on most. Not all. But if he uses the Task Detail default view he can see
that for any project.

WHY??? I"m going to be bald by the end of the day. And why did this just
start happening?

Well I have been labeled as hitting the eggnog way too much....

My other admin now has the Company Task view working just fine. I try and
use that view and it tells me...

Project Center cannot access the project(s) you are trying to view. It is
most likely that you either don't have permissions to view the project,
another user has deleted this project(s) before you were able to view it or
that another user is in the process of publishing the project.

None of the projects I'm trying to open are checked out. Infact I own the
project I'm trying to view in this view. So permissions isn't an issue.
Project definately exists. Especially since I am the only person with
"Delete" permissions and I have not deleted my own project. :)

My rights are the exact same as the other admin. In fact I have admin
rights on the Project Server box and DB Server box, and he didn't.

But.. when I first asked him to help me trouble shoot this, he was not able
to see the view, then when we tried again, without doing anything... (yes I'm
not just saying that, he just logged out and back on) he could see this view
just fine.

I have cleared my cache, cookies, history, the cache and #12 folder.
Restarted and tried the access from other PCs and even the server. With no
luck.

Any elves out there with some magic to help out? :)

And the answer is.....

DB Indexing issue. Resolved by doing the following on the DB Server

In SQL if you have the rights, highlight databases and select new query. In

the new query window type the following

use <type published database name here>
go
exec sp_updatestats
go

Then execute the query. Once it is done, go back to PWA and refresh the
page and see if your view will load.

I can not take credit for this resolution... I googled the error message
and found out several people have experienced this. I wish I would have
thought to google the error message much earlier in the day. I have spent
all day trying to resolve this.

Hopefully this will help someone else not waste so much time.

Happy Holidays!

Hi,

I presume that you have made a change in your security settings. Can you
please let me know what exactly you have changed. I am sure we will be able
to find out why you dont have access anymore.
