Hi
When I try to create custom views with hidden rows, the rows to be
hidden are highlighted but not hidden. This has only become a problem
since I upgrade from a G4 Imac. Any custom views created on my old
computer still work.

Can anyone out there help??

The only time I've seen anything like this is if the rows remain selected
after applying the Hidden attribute but the check for Hidden Rows, Columns &
Filter Settings is removed when the Custom View is created. I'd suggest that
you first try again to make sure that isn't the case here.

If you still have a problem confirm that Office 2004 is fully updated
{11.5.3 is current]. If that still doesn't correct the behavior reply back
with a complete & accurate description - step by step - of how you're
setting up the sheet & creating the View as well as a more complete
description of the result.

Thank you for replying

My Excel version is 11.5.3(08114)

Both the Print and Hidden Columns boxes are ticked.
I have a worksheet covering three years and I want to display the
years separately using custom views (year 1, year 2 year 3). I
highlight the appropriate rows, select Format> Rows> Hide. Then View>
Custom Views> Add and name the view. All the boxes are checked. When I
select the view, the hidden rows are selected but not hidden. This is
the first time I have done this on my Intel Imac and Leopard, it
always worked on my G4 with Tiger.

Many thanks

Hugh

Is this happening with all workbooks or just one?

On looking at it again, just one workbook. I just have tried copy and
pasting everything into a new workbook and the same thing happened. If
I open a new workbook and set up custom views it's ok

Many thanks

Hugh
