Custom Workspace Template Not Linking to Projects

Experts,

I publised a test project on PWA for Project Server 2007. I then went to
that new Workspace and made several changes to the Issues and Risks columns
and over all views. I then saved the site as a template, sent the .stp file
to our sharepoint admin and she executed the STSADM command to load new the
template. I then went to PWA Site Provisioning setting and switched the
default template to the new one. so far so good? When I went to create a new
project schedule and published, i created the schedule and workspace but
they're not linked. Meanining that I dont see the new workspace under
Workspaces in PWA, but if i type the URL for the new workspace it shows up.

I switched the default template back to the original one and everything is
working again. what am I doing wrong??

thanks,

Thanks Andrew. I'm a bit confused on which machine I should be logged into
when I create the new workspace template. I am the PWA Admin but not the
overall sharepoint admin. we have MOSS Enterprise.

You would need to have Site Creation rights in SharePoint. Doesn't matter
which machine you're logged in to though. Look at PWA, and see if there's
a Site Actions option in the top right. If so, see if you have the option
to create a site under that tab.

If not, you may need more permissions from your admin - or have them create
it for you.

I do have those rights under PWA. I'm a site collection admin. I'll let you
know how it goes. thanks Andrew
