Custome Filed Data is not correctly showed in Project Professional

We have a custom enterprise field called "_MITRE Milestones SR Notes". I have
that field in project web access but its also in a view within Microsoft
Project Professional. I'm trying to pull the data that is stored in that
field into MS Project Profesional. It won't pull right Data.
E.g i put the "Something" in the PWA and when we saw that update in the
project professional its update the changes and complete all the steps but
did not show me the exact data "Something" and show garbage.

Would you please help me in this regards how can i the exact data showed in
the project professional.

I am using Project server 2007, Project Professional 2007 and web access.

I performt he step you told me, but still problem is their. Niether data
from PWA site to Project Professiona nor From Proj pro to PWA. If i input
some data into the PWA in that custome Field its showed me their only but did
not in Project Professional but when i update the data into the Project
professional it showed me data in Pro pro not in PWA. This problem exist only
with custom fileds all other fields are updated on both side.

i dont know where i am making some mistkae in creation of custom field or
creating a view.

Waqas,

Where you are entering the data in PWA? Are you using editing project
properties option to enter data? If so, you have to publish the plan.
Also when you enter the values in MS Project Pro, have you published?
In either case, you have to publish the plan to push the info from
project to PWA.

Chak may be i did not explain the stuff clear, i made another effort.

i create a custom Enterprise filed through these steps.

Seerver Settings> Enterprise Custom Field Definition > New Field

on this page I give the following option:

Name: _Test_Field1
Entity and Type Entity: Task Type Text
Custom Attributes None
Calculation for Summary Rows None
Calculation for Assignment Rows Roll down, unless manually
specified (BTW I tried it both way, none or Roll down, unless manually
specified )

Values to Display Data
Required No.


After this i created a view callled _Was_TestView and add the 3 fields

TaskName[task] , %Completed[Task] _Test_Field1[task].


Now when i entre the data intot he custome field(_test_Field1) in either
project professional or PWA it was not shown on the both side. Like if enter
the data sometime in PWA and Save & submit it. this goes to other person for
update and publish. they publish it. but no data shown in the Project
professional. Same vice versa from Project Professional to PWA.

But all others field updated and showen in both way.

I think you understand where i am wrong.
