Customer Orders

Hello,

The CEO approached me the other day about making our site easier for our
customers to order from.

Right now, there is no way they can order from our site.
http://www.willitshoe.com

I am wondering the easiest way to do this. I don't want to take any payment
information because most of our customers are set up on terms. So that would
eliminate the need for a shopping cart utility. But, what I do need is like
an interactive order form.

I have a scanned copy of our order form on the site, that way the customer
can print it off, and fax it in, but with the advancements in technology,
more and more of our customers are asking about ordering online.

So the question is this: What is the easiest way to make an interactive
order form for our customers?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If you don't have anything useful to add; don't add anything.

Do it the same way you created the Feedback form...with Frontpage.

The feedback form was part of the Corporate Presence Wizard.

So, I'm not really certain on how.

Use a shopping cart. Many carts can be used where payment is not required,
and ready made cart is easier than scripting your own.

We would like to keep costs down to an absolute minimum.

I have been fooling around with the Form Page Wizard. It would work, if they
were able to pick the sizes. It has a column for Qty; Desc.; but no sizes.

I tried copying and pasting, but I'm still fooling around with it.

Go to your feedback page and right click within the form...take a look at
the properties it will give you lots of clues.

Then create a new page for your Order Form
With your new blank page opened Insert | Form and this will give you the
basis for your new form...just add fields etc.

You can do any number of things with FP forms, I wouldn't use the wizard
though, just read the help files on it and start playing, doesn't take long
to figure out.

Ok everyone

I got my Order Form.

Unfortunately, we aren't going to use it until we go live with selling to
the public.
Right now, we only sell to retail stores. But hopefully we will be selling
to the public, i'm going to say next year.

I sincerely appreciate everyones input on this.

You will not use FP forms if you are selling to the public and need to
collect funds...you WILL need a secure method at that time.

Yes, I'm aware of that.

We WILL need a shopping cart utility at that time. I just don't want to have
to redesign the website as of yet. I have started working on the E-Commerce
site for us; and I put the form into that website, only for now. It will
probably never get used unfortunately.

But yes you are absolutely right. We WILL need a More Secure way if we are
going to sell to the public. And again in that case, we WILL need a shopping
cart utility.

sorry I didn't mean to be THAT emphatic :)
