Customer to amend table content

Can anyone please help, I have built a car sales website for a customer
which includes pictures. descriptions and prices of thier cars set in a
table but without a database.
Thier stock will change daily and they would like to be able to remove and
include cars as they wish.
Is this possible?
http://www.wyns-carsales.co.uk/carsales.htm
On the final web page only selected cars will have pictures but all will
have description and price.
There will only be 1 person responsible for this updating so it must be
possible to restrict access.
Thanks in advance

I gather from the lack of response that what I require is not possible
within FP.
Can anyone please offer any suggestions as to how to resolve my problem.
Thanks

As long as you give them the log on details to whoever is the nominated
person, then they should be the "only" person with access if they keep the
username/password secure.

They can update the site live through Frontpage (assuming FP extensions in
use).

Else it may be a little more complicated, to download the page, edit in FP,
then republish.

Alternatively, you could consider a content management system such as
www.contentseed.com and only make the "editable" page the one with the
car/sales info.

Hi Andrew,
Please accept my most sincere apologies for my impatient rudeness.
Thank you very much for your assistance, I think perhaps option 2 would be
most suitable as they do not have FP, I will try it and let you know the
result..
Once again my apologies
Thanks

Hi Andrew,
On looking at Contentseed, it seems that my customer may need to have FP
installed, Is this correct or have I misinterpreted the information.
Thanks

The idea of ContentSeed (or any other CMS) is that your client *does not*
need FP(or other package) installed. They can edit the page/site online
through their web browser. They don't need HTML knowledge, as they are
presented with a GUI interface, just like FP itself to edit the page with.

However the web developer (such as yourself) might need FP to edit the
script pages, and to add whatever code is necessary to the pages you want
your client to be able to edit, for the product to recognise the editable
pages etc.

The site provides demos which provide a good idea of what the product does.

Maybe I shouldn't have been so forceful with my "be patient" message - maybe
I should assume you're using the web interface to access the group, which
seems at times to be trial and error when getting posts to show up, so my
apologies also, if this was the case.

I've not tried Content Seed, but members here have recommended it (an
Frontpage MVP is the author of the system in fact) - but it comes in two
flavours - ASP/Access(or MSSql?) and PHP/MySql.

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your reply and your courtesy.
I have tried the content seed demo and for the main part , it does what I
want.
I have to say that I do not recall having met a more helpful developer than
Chris and would recommend anyone to use his product.
Thanks again
